What I like about your idea is that it makes it possible for the farmers themselves to participate in the decision making at all levels. They are also the direct beneficiaries of the outputs.

I agree with your idea but I believe the implementation would be a bit difficult, especially regarding how you would convince the farmers to share their resourcess.

It is not that our farmers do not know what it takes to develop or that they do not know what to do. What they lack is how to do it and I believe the intiative you have described here will do a lot to help them. Good luck!

A good idea to be supported. Such a project should start organising the farmers working or producing the recently promoted non traditional cash crops or fruit trees like citrus, cashew and mangoes. Use such mass grassroots movement to advocate for the same policies government is using to support the cocoa industry and also facilitate joint public/private cooperation in the establishment of processing industries for these fruit trees.
