Thank you for sharing your idea. It would be helpful if you could indicate where you would like to implement this project. Based on your profile, it looks like you are Ugandan, working in Rakai District, so I assume that is where you would want to begin this project. It might be helpful for other readers if you could tell them that you want to work in Uganda, and specifically in Rakai. You might indicate where you will pilot this project. Would it be in a few villages or one village? How will you choose where to start this project? How much will it cost to work with one village? What are the specific costs associated with this project? I assume training, the actual parts of the solar water pump, solar panels, etc. What else? Will you train one person per village who can help with maintenance in the event that there is a problem? How many villages are in Rakai? What do you think about building water storage tanks as well since there will be days where it will be cloudy and I think the solar water pump won't be pumping water? Or is this not a concern with the type of solar pump you plan to purchase? Can you tell me more about the solar pump that you intend to buy? Also will you be pumping water from wells, lakes or ponds?
