Africa Gathering

Whether you live in the United States or in Africa, you have an opportunity to join a community of individuals for two days to discussion ideas for Africa. On November 4 and 5, events will be held in Nairobi and Washington, DC.

Connect4Climate

Climate Change affects all of us - yet, where are all the voices from all corners of planet Earth? How do we determine our collective future if we don’t care to listen to each other’s stories? 

Young people from the ages of 13 to 35 are invited to share their personal stories through photos and videos to increase awareness about climate change where they live and its impact on agriculture, forests, health, water, and even gender. 

Africa Rural Connect cares about climate change, especially its impact on Agriculture in Africa, thus we are pleased to partner with a new World Bank initiative, Connect 4 Climate, to share knowledge on these important issues and give a voice to the younger generation. 

The best entries will receive prizes at a high-profile awards ceremony and be exhibited at the United Nations Conference on Climate Change in Durban, South Africa this December. 

Blog-a-thon for Climate

Would you rather write a blog about these issues? Join the Blog-a-thon! African Voices on Climate Change (AVCC) is a blog-a-thon organized by the Connect4Climate team to bring particular focus to African bloggers writing about climate change in their community. 

From October 24 - October 31st, we encourage all African bloggers to write and share stories about climate change in your communities. 

As you write or post on the above climate change issues, please tweet about your blog using the #avcc & #c4climate hashtags.
