Africa Rural Connect Winner 2010 Video

The Africa Rural Connect Winner for 2010 was Johnstone Baguma, whose idea was an innovative way to increase the revenue of small scale rural maize producers in Western Uganda through storage facilities, training of producers in management techniques, and access to credit and rural banking. The idea was excellent in the way that it brought together agricultural development and was able to improve direct revenue from agricultural processes, but also that it incorporated education in small business and finance, as well as that it brought in microcredit options for the maize farmers. He recently participated as a speaker in Africa Gathering's Our Uganda event, where he gave a talk on entrepreneurship and how important that is to development in Africa:
