Say YES to an African Humanitarian Fund!  FLAGGED 

The fund is based upon every economically active citizen of Africa contributing or being levied 50 US cents per employee and 50 US cents contribution by the employer per employee to the fund by the African Union.

The African continent has a population of little over 1 billion people and has a GDP of 1.5 trillion US dollars. In Africa almost 400 million people are economical active but Africa also has 265 million people who are under nourished.

Africa is plagued regularly with humanitarian disasters with millions of people dying during a single disaster. The 1984 Ethiopian Famine caused 1 million Africans to die of hunger. The 1994 Rwandan Genocide took the lives of 1 million Africans in just over 3 months. Africa has it herself to take care of her own. Famines, Civil Wars, Genocides, Droughts and Instability on the African Continent causes millions to die and to be displaced. Over ten million Africans are displaced furthermore millions live in fear and are hungry. Africans have good in themselves and want to help. The AHAF provides and opportunity to all Africans to do that, and to contribute to a collective fund that will assist those Africans, who need our help.

Africa Must rise, and shake of the shackles of oppression be it slavery, colonialism, apartheid, civil war, genocide and famine. The African humanitarian Assistance Fund provides and opportunity for all Africans from all walks of life to come together and make a difference. This is the millennium of the African People. This is the time to give dignity and hope to millions of Africans. This is the time where we can assure ourselves that as African People we can rise from the stigma of images of Africans being under nourished because of famines; as well as being maimed in civil wars, genocides and instability on our continent.

The year 2011 is a year where we as Africans can show ourselves, that we are a united people; one with a common bond; that of being African.

African Humanitarian Assistance Fund should be adopted by the African Union Assembly of the heads of state and governments.
