Current seafood is produced in farms that destroy large areas of land. It is the frozen and shipped over to Europe, losing flavour and increasing cost while destroying the beautiful and few mangroves of the world.

A traditional seafood farm has low productivity per meter squared, requires the use of antibiotics, needs a vast amount of energy to heat the water and causes large scale environmental problems. We are 3 Biochemical Engineering PhD students that have developed a 100% sustainable, cheap to build and extrenmly easy to operate technology that allows for fresh, organic and local seafood to be produced in busy metropolitan areas or rural communites in Africa in a way that has never been successfully done before.

The potential is huge. From shrimps produced for 5 star restaurants using the money to allow malnourished communities in Africa to sustainably produce fresh high protein food using minimum funding!

Please help us achieve our dream, the world will be a better place this way.

Each unit cost 4000 dollars to build and minimize the amount of water which is also recirculated 100% while maximizing the amount of seafood produced. We have contacted other charities that have provided us the ideal location for us to build, install and operate our technology in house first in Nigeria, and then we would expand to all Africa. After 3 weeks of building the technology, the biofilters will be mature and we have contacted and have all the permissions to import selected shrimp larvaes at a cost of 1200 dollars. The larvaes would be reproduced continuously in the selected African location using new technology, this way no more larvaes would need to imported to the farms, which would continuously produce fresh seafood with minimum resources.

So the total price would be 5200 dollars to build unit, plus leaving costs that would be provided by us and the charity.
