African women helping African women  REMIX

SUMMARY

Creating a powerful network of 53 African women in each of the 53 African countries to support other african to women meet their needs. Who better to assist African women than other African women who

ESTIMATED COST: $0

The basic idea of Women of Africa United is about offering assistance to African women by Africa women. So our goal of what WAU would look like is having a Representative in each of the 53 countries. Every month we would rotate and focus on a particular country and assist the women in that country with whatever the project focus is . What I envisage is a lot of cultural exchange from some or all the Representatives from all the different countries and an opportunity to create long lasting comradery among women in Africa on a spider web scale. The opportunities are endless.

Out challenge so far has been making contact with all these wonderful women out there because of access to information tools such as Internet, phones etc. Trying to connect and find Representatives in each country will take more than just Internet communication. One needs to actually visit these countries and do the ground work to establish a connection with real women trying to make a difference in their own villages, cities. And this is how we would start establishing a network of women willing to help other African women and who understand their problems much better because they all go through the same thing.

I believe that given the right circumstances and resources WAU can become a powerful vehicle in supporting women initiatives across Africa and which women will associate with their lives being uplifted and improved.
